Winter Lecture: Malvern Hills National Park by Dr Bruce E Osborne
31 January @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
This should be a fascinating evening looking at the merits of creating a new National Park in the area occupied by the Malvern hills and its communities, extending to the Teme valley in the north and including the Abberley Geopark. Parts of the Malvern Hills have already been designated as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and as a Site of Specific Scientific Interest. The area is managed by the Malvern Hills Trust on behalf of the nation. So how would the creation of a National Park benefit the district? Come along and find out from someone who campaigned hard for the creation of the South Downs National Park in 2010.
All Winter Lectures are held at Christchurch Hall in Avenue Road, Great Malvern, unless otherwise stated.
Lectures begin at 7.30 and admission is free to Friends of Malvern Museum or £2 for visitors.
Refreshments are served at the end of the evening for a small charge.
