Talk: A New Light on Malvern’s Past
7 November @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm
£7.50There will be four short presentations during the afternoon. They will show aspects of Malvern’s history that have probably not been seen before: more images from the 1970s, buildings that never proceeded beyond the drawing board, some ‘Wow!’ images and a fascinating new piece in the puzzle of Malvern’s earlier history.
The speakers are all members of the museum who, for the last few years, have been cataloguing and conserving the thousands of images, prints and paintings held in Malvern Library’s collection. This is where the images come from to illustrate these talks.
Money raised from the talk will be used to further conserve and digitise many items in the library collection.
Refreshments will be available in the interval and a raffle will be held.
All Winter Lectures are held at Christchurch Hall in Avenue Road, Great Malvern, unless otherwise stated.
Lectures begin at 2.30 and admission is free to Friends of Malvern Museum or £3 for visitors.
Refreshments are served during the meeting for a small charge.
