Open the Case events – National Heritage Open Days
7 September @ 8:00 am - 15 September @ 5:00 pm
Eight events have been arranged for visitors to drop in to explore different aspects of Malvern’s rich past. The sessions are based on the items that are normally locked behind closed glass doors or packed away in storage boxes, so these are rare opportunities to see and handle some unique items. Sessions last approximately one hour over the weekends of 7th-8th September and 14th – 15th September. The leaders are all volunteers but have a good knowledge of the topics and an abundance of enthusiasm.
Visits to the museum on these four days, and all Open the Case sessions, are free of charge, so we will be hoping for donations to supplement our income. The rooms will be able to cater for up to 8 visitors, with some seating, and it will operate on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
All Winter Lectures are held at Christchurch Hall in Avenue Road, Great Malvern, unless otherwise stated.
Lectures begin at 2.30 and admission is free to Friends of Malvern Museum or £3 for visitors.
Refreshments are served during the meeting for a small charge.
