Forge Ahead – Exhibition and tour of the blacksmiths at Barnards Green

8 June @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Share

Everyone is welcome to the latest event run by Barnards Green History Group – the focus is the old smithy where owner Grant Morgan will be on hand to talk about the work of the blacksmith.  There will be opportunities to join a guided tour of the workshop as well as a walk round Barnards Green looking at some of its old landmarks.

A series of displays explores life in the 1920s, based on invoices kept by the Morgan family for items bought locally.  A number of maps charting the development of the village and shopping area will also be available to browse.  Members of the group and local historian, Brian Iles, will be on hand to answer questions.

Admission is free though donations will be welcome.
